NEW.....flash technique

Hey guys..I wanted to post some images I just shot with my son Kody...using high speed sync and radiopoppers to trigger the flash for a cool look. I used to create shots like this with 2 exposures and blending them together in photoshop...now I can create this in-camera and it looks so much better...

This technique was what I learned at my last workshop at KAPA in Bowling Green, Ky.....TriCoast taught the workshop and I'm certainly glad I attended..

So check the images out...I posted one of my son Kody that I took, and 2 of me that he took..(I usually don't like being in front of the camera, just so you know...haha) Much more comfortable behind the camera.....we just went into the back yard and played with this till I got the looks I wanted...took about 20-30 shots and here's a few of em....comments are welcome....thanks...mark

Mercer County Prom - May 9, 2009

Mgallery will be offering prom portraits for any couple wanting studio quality images to celebrate the 2009 Mercer County Prom. I will be set-up and ready for you at 2pm on Sat. May 9th..you can come anytime you wish up till 10pm...you DO NOT need an appointment.

Portraits will be taken at mgallery photography in Harrodsburg...Home studio is located in Rolling Hills Estates at 912 Oatfield Rd. Harrodsburg, Ky 40330....call  859.733.9363 for questions. This is where Kyle Hicks & Kody Hicks live if you know them.

Package will be for couples and include 2 - 5x7 (one for guy one for girl) and 16 - wallets (eight for guy eight for girl) for $30 (pay when you arrive)

If you come with a group and want a group shot...I can do up to 8 people (or 4 couples at a time) and you will have to pay an extra $5 for each person to get a 5x7....this is only offered after you do your couple shots.

Holidays

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast...I'm still full from it this morning..ugh...

Black Friday is on, and I'm sure the deals are being grabbed up, and money is being spent faster than it is being made...I personally do NOT want to get out into that mess...hey, I love a good deal to...but not at the cost of insanity...Nicholasville Road to be specific...what a nightmare before Christmas that is...horns beeping, tires screeching, people yelling, engines revving...and thats just my car....think about everyone else adding to this symphony of Chaos...NO THANK YOU.....I will stay at home and buy my goods on-line...The deals will be going on up until Christmas I bet, because the retail arena has been suffering greatly from the stock market nonsense...and the government can't bail out the little guys...just the big wealthy ones...What a total JOKE that is....I mean, why bail out a company that gives it's CEO (after they fire them)  huge million dollar bonuses?...This has to STOP....

Enough ranting and wasting my time talking about crap.....I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and gave thanks for what you have...I sure am thankful for what I have, and my customers that spend hard earned dollars at mgallery...I can't thank you enough for choosing my studio...I look forward to a new year, and hope good things come with it....maybe we can get a bailout package...ha
